Chelsea Kessenich
Marketing Communications Manager, Globalstar
1. What do you like best about your job?
Working for a company that saves lives is rewarding on its own and makes me feel like I’m doing my part to keep the world moving. I’ve worn many different hats on the Globalstar marketing team, and the Marketing Communications Manager position has been my favorite so far. I get the opportunity to work with everyone on the marketing team as well as many other different departments within our company. This keeps my job interesting and allows me to learn the various aspects of the business.
2. What are the biggest professional challenges you face and how does ClickDimensions help you address those challenges?
We were running emails campaigns manually prior to using ClickDimensions. ClickDimensions has alleviated the manual work as well as allowed us to get more complex with our email marketing, which in return has helped us reach a wider, but targeted audience.
3. What was your background before landing in your current role?
I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Communications and began my journey in communications and marketing as an intern for Porter Lyons – a jewelry designer in New Orleans. My time with Porter Lyons was spent discovering the ins and outs of social media marketing, growing the business through sales and learning relationship management. Working at Porter Lyons really broadened my interests within sales and marketing and led me to my first position at Globalstar. When I first started working at Globalstar, I ran reporting on our paid campaigns, then moved into media buying and working with our Brand Ambassadors and eventually moved to the Marketing Communications Manager position where I work with our brand and tradeshow team.
4. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
Ooh! There are so many things I would love to try but I’d have to say something within the music industry like a live entertainment coordinator. I grew up dancing, so I’ve always had a love for music and truly enjoy planning and hosting events.
5. If you could live anywhere on this planet and take everything that you love with you, where would you choose to live and why?
I’d have to pick a tropical beach with access to mountains when I’m ready for an adventure!
